18 Months!

HAPPY 18 MONTHS to my baby girl! Brenley turned 18 months this past Saturday and it is still so hard to wrap my mind around her being 1 1/2 years old! I decided to start just doing a birthday blog about her with her chair picture every 6 months now.

Here are a few of her accomplishments and things she is doing these days!

• The first thing she does in the morning when she wakes up is call roll while she points -- "Mama, PoPo (Polo), Dada (even though he is at work), and MEEE!" Sometimes the door, her bows and Elmo get thrown in there too. Gotta make sure everyone is accounted for!


• She loves to say "Hi" to everyone in the house -- it is more like "iiii mama"


• She is afraid of bubble baths and one bubble bath caused her to be deathly afraid of any bath for 2 weeks!


• She knows the color yellow and says it so cute!


• She has a little obsession with Elmo and all things Sesame Street. She can name Big Bird, Elmo, Ernie, Bert and Abby.


• She loves to eat eggs, cheese, oatmeal, peanut butter crackers and sandwiches, applesauce, fruit snacks, chips, crackers and most recently blueberries and blackberries! She also loves Ketchup and can dip almost anything into it!


• She can also name quite a few farm animals and say their sound!


• Some of my favorite words that she says are "turtle, wuv you, puppy, bear, big bird, door and of course Popo.


• She loves swimming and just today let me put her head under the water! She also loves the hose or sprinkler outside!


• She is telling us when she goes poopoo, so I will try and sit her on the potty when she tells me but it is just to get her used to it...she hasnt gone in it yet!


• She gives great hugs and kisses and will give lots of them when she is in the mood too!


• She loves to dance and can do the motions to "This little light of mine", "If you happy and you know it", and "He's got the whole world in his hands" -- Thank you to her school for most of these!


• Her favorite activity is to chase Polo and pull at her and hit her. Polo is such a good sport!


• She can name all of her facial features and Mama's and Daddy's too!


• She loves to take off her shoes and works really hard to put them back on. This keeps her busy for a while!


• She goes down around 7:30 and wakes up around 7:30 or sometimes can even sleep til 9! She usually takes 2 naps, but will chose to skip the afternoon one if she has the choice!

This girl lights up our world and we can't imagine life without her! She is getting more and more fun with each day! Can't wait to see what she will be doing in the next 6 months!
