Boston Bound!

Well friends, the hubby and I are off to Boston tomorrow and will return on Sunday! If you recall, I surprised Bobby with this trip and it is finally here! We are off to be educated on our Nation's history and hope to see some nice beaches and lighthouses too. Pics to come!

Babies, Bunco and Birthday!

Well it has been a while since I last posted and a lot has happened! I was able to spend time with my nephews, I hosted Bunco at my house for my girlfriends and I had a birthday!

Last weekend, some of my family came over to our house for the evening. So we got to hang with the nephews, which is always a treat! The boys entertained themselves by playing X-box and of course playing with Polo!

Poor Cohen...he already knows he should be scared of Callen! :)

Cade went missing and this is where we found him!

"Uncle Bobby, can we play video games now?"

Bobby is brave to take them ALL on a walk!

On Thursday, I hosted Bunco at my house. For those of you who don't know what Bunco is, you are missing out! :) It is a dice game that you play with 12 people and well, it is just too much to explain in a blog, but with my girlfriends there a lot of screaming and laughing!

I know there was screaming if Ashley was at this table!

Go Kristy - she got a BUNCO!

What is Bunco without dessert?

Then Friday was my BIRTHDAY!! I turned 27 and I can officially say I am in my "late" twenties! My day started out with a surprise when I got to work and found that my desk had been decorated. Then my co-workers took me to Jake's for lunch. If you ever want a good cheeseburger--Jakes is the place to go. That night some of our friends joined us for dinner at Luna De Noche in downtown and then we sat and enjoyed the evening in Victory Park.
Good times were had by all!

Our House

Well, we have lived in our house for about 2 months now. At times it seems like we just moved here, and then other times it feels like we have lived here for years. We love our house...all the unique things about it and we love our neighborhood. In fact, today one of our neighbors (lady across the street) came over just to ask if we wanted some of her flowers our of her garden cause she was going to replace them with different ones. How nice is that and who does that anymore? Most of the people on our street have lived in their house since it was built 20-something years ago. They have all introduced themselves and told us to let them know if we ever need anything. So I guess if I ever need a cup of sugar, I have plenty of options!

Our house was built in 1986, but has since had many upgrades and has been remodeled in some areas, such as the kitchen, master bath and sunroom. We fell in love with the house on our first visit and the since the timing, finances and closing went exactly as desired, we knew it was the house God picked for us!

Enjoy the tour...
(p.s. the guest room and guest bath are still in the works - no pics)

Pleaes come visit soon!

Polo's New Hobby

FRIDAY NIGHT

SUNDAY NIGHT

Oh, to be a kid again!

Some of you may not know, but Bobby has a 10 year old little sister. Yes, they are 17 years apart. (It can happen, people!). Anyway, her birthday party was this past Saturday at Pump It Up. This is a big place with bounce houses, and big blow up slides. A kid's dream! Bobby's mom told us to bring our socks and join in on the fun, and that is exactly what we did.

Here are a few pics from the fun day!

Me and Serena - first attempt on the slide!

Bobby catching some air!

Happy Birthday Serena!

Big bro and little sis!

Man, did I feel old and tired when we were done!

Friday Date Night

Mexican Dinner - $30
Blockbuster Movie - $5
Ice Cream from McDonalds - $2
Watching Bobby chase Polo down the street while his wife laughs histerically!* - PRICELESS

*Bobby and I decided to eat our ice cream outside in the front before we went in to watch our movie. We didn't put a leash on Polo because she is usually pretty good about staying in the yard. Well she got a burst of energy and decided to run down the street, straight down the middle of the road! Bobby took off after her and it just made her run faster! It was hilarious watching a 27 yr old man sprint after a 14 week old, 6 pound puppy. Then she ran under a parked car. Let's just say I got a good laugh out of it! (I am sure our neighbors thought we were nuts).

Here is Polo after she was finally "caught".
